  • September 8, 2022. Rise Up (2022 Virtual) is centered on the theme of honoring our past while shaping the future. They hope to see formerly incarcerated scholars continue to use this forum to advance their liberation from spaces “solely developed” by and for people with no lived experience and expertise. They also seek ideas and experiences from directly impacted people.

  • November 4, 2022. The International Criminology Conference aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue about topics related to criminology in its broadest context, including causes, consequences both on a micro and macro level, control, and prevention. The event brings together social leaders, policymakers, NGOs, business and academics from a variety of backgrounds.

  • December 14, 2022

  • January 26, 2023. Morgan Cares hosted awardees of their Community Grant. The awardees presented on how their organization used the grant and enjoyed a meal together.

  • February 22-23, 2023. The 16th Xavier University of Louisiana Health Disparities Conference included clinicians, health policy makers, researchers, health educators, public and community health leaders, and students whose work incorporates the use of multidisciplinary and interprofessional partnerships to build collaborations that eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity. Light To Life presented current research on They Are Survivors Too: Gender Responsive Programming for Justice Impacted Women via a poster presentation that outlined the research and how it can mitigate health disparities for justice-impacted survivors of domestic violence.
